Stony Grey Soil wasn't going to win last time but would still have posted a fine effort if he hadn't fallen and he looks set to appreciate this step up in trip. He looks a better horse over fences and doesn't look harshly treated on his handicap debut over the larger obstacles. Franchoek returns from a long absence and is a bit of an unknown quantity. The market looks the best guide to his chance.
