Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - Sarabad has been disappointing but Willie Mullins said in a recent stable tour "you might find he has a nice handicap mark," so he's much respected if the betting indicates he's fancied. Bottle Rattler won a bumper here over this distance. Road To Riches and Plan Again have shown Bottle Rattler's sire, Gamut, in a good light in recent times and Philip Rothwell's charge could have a nice future ahead of him. Surely the market will give us a good indication of what's expected with Ussius. Sizing Jo'burg doesn't look like he's one of Henry de Bromhead's leading lights so we'll plum for the Gordon Elliott-trained ANTHEM ROYALE. This fellow's form is eye-catching when you consider he's finished behind Bonisland and Road To Riches to date. Paul Carberry's booking for Anthem Royale is encouraging, as was Elliott's summation in a recent Irish Field stable tour. The Cullentra handler said: "He had a nice run in a bumper and while he was well beaten that day, he has done well since and he looks well up to winning one. Chasing will be his game down the road."
Probable SP 2/1 Ussius, 11/4 Sarabad, 5/1 Sizing Jo'burg, 8/1 Kilmainham, 12/1 Bottle Rattler, Anthem Royale, 14/1 I C Gold, 25/1 Knockanarrigan, Sultana Belle, Crazy Lad.
