Formscan By Alan Magee - CAPTAIN JOY gained a deserved win here a fortnight ago and is taken to follow up off a 6lb higher mark. Tracey Collins’ charge beat a solid marker in Russian Soul on that occasion, and this extra furlong will certainly hold no fears. Akasaka scored three times on the polytrack earlier this year, including twice over this trip, and is in good heart at present judged on his gallant second to Ansgar (pair finished clear) over an extended ten furlongs here last Friday. Any market move for King’s Trail would be interesting. The ten-year-old was thrown into Listed company here on his Irish debut last month, and he didn’t enjoy the clearest of passages in the straight.
