Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - EPIC ENCOUNTER looks to hold a big chance in this. This grey went into the horses to watch out for memory bank when flying home for third, here over six furlongs, behind Via Ballycroy in September. The son of Clodovil then emphasised his staying power when chasing home Qasser on ground described as soft to heavy at Cork. With plenty of experience under his belt at this stage, Epic Encounter looks a solid wager racing from box one here with Declan McDonogh up. Given his connections and the fact that he contested a very valuable event at Newmarket on his last start, Benbecula will have to be watched in the betting. Lily Of Kenmare has a very good debut effort to her name but the extra experience of Epic Encounter sways me in his direction. Attire disappointed last time but she's likely better than that and she has to enter the equation. Rated 67 and in first-time blinkers, La Oliva has to have hopes too and a similar comment applies to September Lily (assessed as a 62 filly).
