Formscan By Alan Magee - A tricky handicap with a number of contenders that like to come from off the pace, and perhaps EDITH COWAN can finally add to her Cork maiden win last summer. The Charles O’Brien-trained filly has threatened to add to that success on a number of occasions including at this venue in recent months, and is off a competitive mark with the valuable assistance of 7lb claimer Luke Dempsey. Lord Kenmare relies on some luck-in-running due to his racing style but has been knocking on the door here recently, and represents the leading polytrack yard. David Marnane’s stable has enjoyed some better fortune here in recent times, and Cool Athlete can’t be discounted now that he’s fallen to the same mark off which he gained the second of two wins here early last year. Curl Cat ended a long losing run with an emphatic victory here last month but a 12lb rise may stall his progress.
