Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - Denied an opportunity when Wexford was called off on Tuesday, COOLAUGHT is put forward as a speculative punt for big-priced small-stakes each-way punters. Impressive in winning a point-to-point at Lingstown in the spring of 2009, this mare has run okay on the racecourse proper on more than one occasion in the past, and back on testing ground now could bring about the necessary improvement. Liam McKenna was striking when landing his first success – at Downpatrick last week. His mount here, the point-to-point winning, Shanroe Society, could well outrun his likely odds. More solid ones on the book are Doc Hollywood, Blazing Sonnet and Mini Budget but they hardly overly appeal at their likely prices. It wouldn't be any great surprise if Willie Codd's course winner, Hold Em Cowboy went well after a break.
