Formscan By Alan Magee - THE REAL ARTICLE was the pick of these over hurdles scoring twice in Grade 2 company but got his chase career off to an unfortunate start at Clonmel. However the seven-year-old appeared to jump well until making that costly mistake at halfway, and is given another chance. If he again fails to put in a clear round, then the one most likely to take advantage is Lord Windermere. Jim Culloty’s charge has filled the runner-up spot on both chase outings this year against decent rivals, and looks a solid jumper. Marasonnien was an expensive failure on his chasing debut at Navan when weakening in the straight, while Prima Vista and Toner D’Oudairies were at a similar level over hurdles (rated in the 130’s) and there was again little to choose between them when filling minor placings behind Aupcharlie in a beginners chase at Gowran Park last month.
