Formscan By Gary Carson - Vesper Bell has to give weight away all around here and may have a tough enough task. He's lightly raced and only has two runs over fences. He took his novice chase in good style here on New Year's Eve but the form is questionable as the favourite then failed to give much of a showing. He comfortably beat Carry Each Other and should probably confirm placings despite the 19lb turn around. A former Willie Mullins inmate in ARBOR SUPREME may be the one to follow. He has recaptured some of his old sparkle in recent runs and was a fine fourth in the Welsh National having won at Exeter previously. He looks on a decent mark and also has a good 5lb claimer on board which gives him a good pull at the weights with Vesper Bell. Most of these would have little hope of getting into a National but Give Us A Hand is consistent and may sneak into a place.
