Formscan By Gary Carson - SPIKER THE BIKER ran a cracker switched back to timber last time and may be able to make his 'track' breakthrough here. He was just edged out in a four-way thriller in very testing conditions at Fairyhouse last month and has only been given a pound for that effort, which still leaves him on a 8lb lower mark than his chase rating. The form of that race has stood up well with two of the other placed horses reaching the frame again since. The veteran Valley Of Thrushes took a handicap chase at Limerick over Christmas and although he's not getting any younger he looks on a fair mark on some of his old hurdles form and could go close. Super Vic hasn't a lot of miles on the clock and after an improved effort at Fairyhouse last time, when chasing home Twin Plan, she could be a player. Sumkindasuprstar couldn't live with Vics Canvas at Gowran and connections turn him out again trying to make the most of his low mark over timber as he is due to go up 5lb. He didn't exactly look thrown in last Saturday, however, and it's a tough ask to run again so quickly.
