Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - There mightn't be any need to look beyond the obvious here with DAZZLERS DAY. For the grade, it was a decent heat that this fellow annexed at Limerick six days ago. The market didn't give us any idea that such a performance was in the offing but the 20/1 shot, in first-time blinkers, bolted up from the well-fancied pair, Missie Ella and Robbie McMahon, to earn himself a 14Ib hike in the ratings. The French-bred has to shoulder just the mandatory 4Ib penalty now, and though he missed out on a quick Limerick follow-up bid owing to sore shins, it's difficult to look beyond his claims now. The Two Jays was an eye-catcher at Punchestown in November and in a first-time visor now he has to be respected. Others have bits and pieces of chances and the point-to-point winner from the recent autumn session, Native Court could easily make his presence felt.
Probable SP 13/8 Dazzlers Day, 9/2 Jacks Island, 6/1 Bobsthewizard, 8/1 Native Court, 14/1 High Way Hunter, 16/1 West Ship Master, Moving On, Saddlenomore, The Two Jays, 20/1 Tornado King, What's In Front, Day Dream Boy, 25/1 All Honours.
