Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - With age and the bit of experience on his side from winning a point-to-point, we'll take a chance on CYPRIAN PRINCE upstaging some of the more flashy types on paper in this line-up. Well-touted at Dromahane on December 30th, the Rudimentary gelding made all under Mikey O'Connor and he impressed when seeing off subsequent track winner, Rocknrollrambo by three lengths. One of the aforementioned contenders, to jump off the page, is the newcomer, Arctic Wolf, and it'll be fascinating to see how he goes in the market. A race like this could well develop into a slog though and a horse like Cyprian Prince might be better equipped to cope at this stage. If stamina is the deciding factor then Band Of Blood will hardly be found wanting and he has big claims too. Hopefully the betting can help with regard to some of the others. Twice a faller 'between the flags,' Lake Naivasha is a full-brother to Newmill and Jamie Codd is booked. Gold Symbol is a half-brother to Character Building.
