FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - At first glance at least I can't say I'm overly sold on anything here so SUMMER STORM gets a tentative nod. The main reason is the form of the John 'Shark' Hanlon horses - he had a first and a third at Clonmel last Thursday when Redwood Boy led home from Baily Sunset in a handicap hurdle, and then the following day at Downpatrick Whatsinthecorner did the needful for the Kilkenny man in a beginners chase. Summer Storm, a former Nicky Henderson and Rebecca Menzies performer, hasn't run for 203 days but he's gone well fresh in the past and he should at least be there or thereabouts. Rebelion Boy, Samson Bill, Zipporah, Dark Outsider and Hard Bought are others to keep in mind.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five yrs old and upwards that are EBF eligible (109 = 11st 10lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 11st 10lb
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each such steeplechase won.
