He's a tough bugger. He's unbelievable. He ran in Loughanmore in his younger days, and they are bred to be Spartans out of there. To go to Cheltenham and Aintree and run massive races and come back here, he deserved it.
Graham John McKeever
After race at Tramore Sun, 13th Apr, 2014 (1st)
It is great to win with him. We feel there is a handicap in him, and it is great for him to get his head in front as it will give him a bit of confidence. He is probably more suited to running in hanidcaps, and as the ground improves he will improve.

"It is a big ask for a novice, but he is maybe unexposed and hopefully he will run well. It is a tough ask and he would probably want nicer ground but his last run at Limerick would give him a squeak."
W P Mullins
After race at Punchestown Wed, 9th May, 2012 (1st)
we might keep Balnaslow going if the ground stays right. He'll go on good ground and if we could win another hurdle with him shortly I'd suggest to the owners that we go chasing next term - he's an absolute natural jumper.
