Her dam, Laywaan progressed with experience and it looks like the Haatef filly, Nabat Ali might follow along similar lines as she landed the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Median Auction Fillies Maiden at Dundalk, on outing number four.

Completing a double after his victory in the opener on Mick Mulvany's Gwen Lady Byron Smullen was sitting pretty as the runners approached the business end. He was tucked in on Nabat Ali, behind the pace-setters Overland Express (money for her on track) and the strong favourite Hurrem Sultan (9/4 this morning into 5/4).

Once Smullen pulled out and unleashed Nabat Ali inside the last, she quickened up well to beat the aforementioned pair, Overland Express and Hurrem Sultan by a length and a quarter and a length and a half.

Smullen remarked: "Her experience helped her and so did the better ground.

"I was a bit worried about how she'd cope with the surface but she went on it well." (GC & EM)
