After being a beaten favourite on his last two outings on the polytrack, Reddot Express obliged in Division Two of the apprentice handicap in Dundalk.
He gave trainer Michael Halford a treble on the evening as Ambassadorial and Kadra took earlier honours.
Conor McGovern had Reddot Express to the fore in this mile contest as the pair raced on the outside of Lightening Stricks and Dylan Hogan.
Reddot Express went on coming to the final half a mile. Lightening Stricks, however, regained the lead approaching the straight but was picked off a furlong and a half down by Reddot Express.
Reddot Express was soon ridden to go and win his race and had enough in the tank to repel Roter Baron by three parts of a length.
The winner was returned the 2/1 favourite with Roter Baron a 12/1 shot. Six Silver Lane closed on the runner-up to be a head way in third at 13/2.
Michael Halford said: "He had the form and we left the cheek-pieces off which helped him to relax a bit more.
"It was a good ride from Conor. He's not the easiest of rides and Conor is good value for his claim."
Reddot Express finished third in a pair of one mile handicaps at Dundalk in September.
