Acroleina gained a maiden win at the tenth attempt when taking the opening www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap at Dundalk this evening, for trainer Jane Foley and jockey Chris Hayes.
The daughter of Captain Gerrard picked up nicely in the closing stages for a length win over Ability N Delivery
Afterwards Foley stated "she needed a little bit of luck as she was beaten a short-head twice.
"There is another race here in three weeks for her, the same kind of race. We'll try and aim for that if she comes out of this race well, which she normally does."
