Joseph O'Brien's Air Force Jet relished a drop in class when making all in the nursery at Navan.

The top weight bounced away smartly and dictated the fractions in this five-furlong sprint.

He kicked for home over a furlong out and soon had his five rivals on the stretch.

The handicap debutant kept up the gallop to come in by a length and a quarter from a closing Punita Arora (4/1).

Donnacha O'Brien said: “He did it well. I fancied him today as I thought it was a big step down in class for him compared to what the rest of them had done.

“He had the experience, he travelled at a five-furlong pace and put it to bed well. He got his ground today.

“He probably is a stakes horse when he gets conditions right and I think that's where we'll be looking next.”
