Aladdins completes hat-trick

Aladdins Cave completed a hat-trick when running out a cosy winner of the 1m4f handicap at Dundalk.

Colm Murphy 's charge, who scored just last Thursday at Leopardstown, could be called the winner from some way out.

Pat Smullen switched him to the outer under two furlongs out and he hit the lead over a furlong from home.

The well backed 4/5 shot (from 11/8) kept on strongly in the closing stages to record a comfortable two-and-a-half length success over Hawk Flight

"I suppose Galway could be on the agenda. We'll keep him ticking over and see what's there. We could put him away for a little while then," said Murphy.

"It was a tall order to come here today but thank god he done it well.

"It was the obvious thing to do as he 6lb well-in. He was entitled to win but it's always a little worry."
