Next month’s Debutante Stakes at the Curragh is a possible option for Mick Appleby’s once-raced juvenile Aquarius.

An impressive winner first time out at Newmarket under Martin Dwyer, the Charm Spirit filly has since had her form franked.

She beat Charlie Appleby’s Lover’s Knot, who subsequently saw off the well-touted Handmaiden at the July Meeting.

“I’m not 100 per cent sure where we are going with her,” said Appleby.

“She is entered in a Group Two (Debutante) at the Curragh in August.

“She was going to be sold and she was going to America, but that fell through. That is why we’ve not run her again.

“She is a very nice filly. She could have an entry at Goodwood, but that would mean taking on the colts and geldings.”
