Shes An Art gained a deserved winning bracket in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Killarney.

The James Barrett-trained filly had come up against some decent performers in four previous outings, and overcame a four months break to score at odds of 4/1.

Ronan Whelan ’s mount tracked the leaders before taking it up over two furlongs out.

The daughter of Excellent Art kept on well inside the final furlong to hold Hibiscus by a length and a half.

There was plenty to like about the debut of Train Time who was pushed along in rear after halfway but really got the hang of things late on as she came through to finish another two and a half lengths back in third.

Barrett said, “The ground and the trip were the big thing for her today. Kevin (Manning) rode her the last day and said to step her up in trip.

“We’ll see what the handicapper does, and if she goes high enough we might look for some black type in a Listed race.”
