Bahrain Storms to chase success

Former Galway Hurdle winner Bahrain Storm got off the mark over fences with a game effort in the beginners chase at Tipperary.

David Casey produced the 7/4 favourite to claim front-runner Derinlaur after the second last.

Pat Flynn 's charge wasn't clean over the final fence but had enough in hand and kept on for a length-and-three-quarter success.

It was only his third start over the larger obstacles and the classy hurdler could have a return to Galway for the Plate as a target for the summer.

"I was hoping he would win. I thought he would get the trip as he won well over two-and-ahalf miles in Cork before," said Flynn.

"He idled when he got to the front but he's back in terrific form. We'll stay novice chasing for a while and I'll half keep the Galway Plate in mind for him."
