- Increased Prizemoney for Grade 1 Feature at Fairyhouse

Prizemoney for the Grade 1 baroneracing.com Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday, December 2 has been increased to €125,000, a rise of €25,000 on last year.

One of the most established hurdle races in Ireland, the baroneracing.com Hatton’s Grace Hurdle has been won in the past by the likes of Istabraq, Danoli, Brave Inca, Jezki and Hurricane Fly. This year, the Gordon Elliott-trained Apple’s Jade will bid to join James Bowe’s prolific hurdlers Limestone Lad and Solerina as a three-time winner of this iconic race which will once again be shown live on RTE racing.

The day will also feature five other pattern races including the Grade 1 baroneracing.com Drinmore Novice Chase and the Grade 1 baroneracing.com Royal Bond Novice Hurdle which also boasts an increased prize-fund of €90,000. The fixture is firmly established as the best jumps fixture in Ireland before Christmas.

Barney O’Hare, Managing Director of Bar One Racing, said: “We are delighted to work with Fairyhouse and Horse Racing Ireland in continuing to develop our flagship sponsorship in Irish racing. The increase in our sponsorship shows our commitment to Fairyhouse and Irish Racing.”

Peter Roe, General Manager of Fairyhouse Racecourse, commented: “We are thrilled with the increased support for one of the biggest National Hunt days in the year. The sponsorship of the entire card by baroneracing.com is a great vote of confidence in Fairyhouse Racecourse and Irish racing by one of our longest and most loyal sponsors.”
