Knock Beauty bounced back to form to land the Rock Of Cashel Handicap Chase at Thurles this afternoon.

Robert Tyner 's mare had been pulled up on her last two outings but was a different proposition today.

She tracked the leaders in the 2m6f contest before hitting the front at the third last. 10/3 favourite See Double You made a mistake at that fence having come through to give chase.

Knock Beauty kept on strongly, under Philip Enright, over the last two obstacles to run out a three-length winner at odds of 12/1.

“That took a while. The owner wanted to go breeding with her but I kept saying she'd win a race,” said Tyner.

“In fairness to her she pulled up the last day on very heavy ground and it might have just been because it was her first run back.

“She was unlucky to bump into Playing at Clonmel last year. I had her as ready as she could be for today and it was her Gold Cup.

“She'll go for another staying hurdle or chase next.”
