Roaring Bull looks to have found a nice opportunity to make a winning return to action at Clonmel on Thursday.

The Gigginstown gelding was a faller when last seen at Punchestown in April and bids to bounce back in the Prior Park Service Station Clonmel Hurdle.

Gordon Elliott ’s charge is top rated in the two-miler, with a mark of 133, and showed some smart form last term as a novice.

He was set to chase home stable-mate Blow By Blow in Grade Three company at Thurles in February before exiting at the last and had been third in a couple of strong novice contests prior to that.

This looks a nice starting point for the Milan gelding now in the four-runner heat.

Willie Mullins saddles Chambord Du Lys in opposition, but she has a bit to prove after a few disappointing efforts this season.

Henry de Bromhead’s Capital Force switches back to timber after finishing well held over the larger obstacles last time and looks another who needs to rediscover his spark.

De Bromhead will be hopeful that Notebook can claim the opening INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle after a highly encouraging racecourse debut at Wexford last month.

The German-bred won a point-to-point at Dromahane back in May and went very close on his first outing in Michael O’Leary’s maroon and white colours.

Sometime Soon just got the better of him by half a length then over two miles and this step up in trip will surely benefit Notebook now.

It looks like it could be another very good day for owners Gigginstown House Stud and the Elliott-trained Acronym looks the one to beat in the concluding Clonmel Oil Slan Abhaile INH Flat Race.

The Flemensfirth gelding was only collared late on by Mount Pelier at Wexford late last month and should be capable of going one better now with that comeback run under his belt.
