Cleary and Bolger double up at Dundalk

Jockey Rory Cleary, trainer Jim Bolger and stallion Vindication each combined for a double at Dundalk this evening, completing the brace with General Bunching in the Follow Dundalk On Facebook Handicap (div1).

The gelding was patiently ridden before being produced to lead a furlong out for an easy two and three parts of a length over Word For Word

Afterwards Cleary said “General Bunching travelled really well, picked up nicely and did it well in the end.”

However there was a sting in the tail for Cleary who subsequently received a one day suspension for careless riding. Cleary was deemed guilty by the Stewards of the offence in an incident early in the straight which caused some general bunching among his rivals.
