Landline finished off best of all to take division two of the Alice Farrell Memorial Handicap for Tom and Rory Cleary.

The 4/1 joint favourite raced on the rail in fourth and was ridden over a furlong out.

He was switched left inside the final furlong and came with a wet sail to mow down his rivals in the closing stages.

He beat runner-up Fastidious (10/1) by a length and three parts with Littlevix (14/1 to 10/1) a neck away in third.

Trainer Tom Cleary said: "We were expecting that after his run here the last day [when third after being short of room]. He loves his racing and goes on any type of ground and it's a pleasure to have him in the yard.

"There's a handicap for him at Listowel; he's as good an excuse as you'll get to go to Listowel!"
