Padraic O Conaire stormed home on the run-in to land the spoils in the RSS Document Handicap Hurdle at Sligo. Movingswiftlyalong claimed front-runner Lady Quill over the last but couldn't hold the late surge of Yvonne Dunleavy's charge.

Paul Townend, recording a double on the card, got a good tune from the 7/4 favourite from the last as he got up close home to secure a length success.

The winner had scored at Listowel early last month before finishing fourth when dropped back to two miles at Gowran Park.

“It wasn't far enough for him the last day. We're delighted and he was in great form coming today,” said Dunleavy.

“Once he got a clear round we were expecting that he'd win today.

“He needs every inch of the two-and-a-half and probably wants even further than that but he finds a nice turn of foot off two-and-a-half.

“We might freshen him up now and try and find a race towards the end of the week in Galway for him.”
