Kieran Cotter is a dab hand with sprinters and A Step Too Far (9/2 jt-fav) was another winner for him in the Facilit8 Property Maintenance Handicap over 5f.

Runner-up on her first two starts for Cotter at Kempton, and more recently, Tipperary, Colin Keane’s mount was to the fore throughout and kept on well for a length and three quarters verdict from Sestriere

The other 9/2 jt-fav Teddy Boy finished seventh.

The winner’s dam, Celerina, was a speedy sort for Tommy Stack, winning three times over the minimum distance.

Winning trainer Kieran Cotter said: “We're delighted to get a winning bracket with her.

“Sinead and Dermot Dunne that own her are very enthusiastic owners and have the mare so they wanted to get a winning bracket into her.

“They'll be delighted with that, she won well and hopefully we can pick up another one with her.

“She's very hard on herself, and always has been. She's a little bit difficult to train but we've got the handle on her now.

“We let her out and let her run. She'll run in all those fast fives now. She's improving all the time.

“Her dam was placed in a Listed race at four, she didn't get going until then, so maybe she'll keep improving.”
