Competing for the fourth time for Celbridge-based owner, Martin Bambrick, Killiney Court (8/11) justified his odds in style under Mikey Fogarty in the opening Magners Original Cider Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick.

On outing number twelve, Colm Murphy's charge recorded his first victory, achieved by taking over from Iffjack at the second last, before going on to account for that rival by eight and a half lengths.

"I'm delighted with that. He's in again at Kilbeggan on Friday and he'll go there if the ground stays the same," reported Murphy.

"This will leave him right for it. He's just run into a few along the way and he may go chasing soon.

"He tore all the skin off his tendon in Ballinrobe and missed a whole year."
