Curragh Round-Up

Emmet McNamara gained the biggest success of his career as Tis Mighty travelled like a dream under the 7Ib claimer, throughout the Hackett's Bookmakers European Breeders Fund Irish Cambridgeshire, and did enough when sent about her business to beat Amarama by a length.

The gamble of the contest, Zero Tolerance (at least 7s in the morning into 100/30) finished another length and three quarters back in third.

Patrick Prendergast, the successful trainer, said: "She has been fierce unlucky but she loves the Curragh and I told the owners that I really fancied her but the ball hasn't been bouncing for me, so the owners backed her but I didn't. She is not mad keen on travelling so we will try to keep her local but if that was her last run of the year I wouldn't mind."

In the Group 3 Cill Dara Security Flying Five Stakes, five of the six participants were trained cross-channel and it was the Alan Berry handled Look Busy that beat the 6/4 favourite, Masta Plasta by one and a quarter lengths, under the claimer, Slade O'Hara, who was unable to use his allowance.

The winning three-year-old, who is well-named, was returned the 7/2 second market-choice. Shane Moloney (formerly with Tom Taaffe and closely associated with Kicking King) is now working with Berry, for the last ten weeks, and he said: "She is a really good filly but we don't know how good she is yet because she does everything so easily. She keeps improving with every run even after having a hard season and she'll be better again next year with the plan being to keep her in training."

Elsewhere Baron De'l took the Mooney's Of Monasterevin Handicap for the second year running for Eddie Harty and Fran Berry whilst Jim Bolger completed a double in the last with the Davy Moran partnered Guard Hill This one was returned at 20/1 with Kevin Manning on the 10/1 stable companion, Sioduil Bolger was of course earlier on the mark with Maoineach Anyone lucky enough to be on this Coolcullen double, would be rewarded at odds of 314/1.
