Five runners became four when 100/1 chance Sally Gap was withdrawn at the start for refusing to load in the Ladies Day June 24th Fillies Race at Gowran. Favourite backers won't have minded as 10/11 chance Dabulena justified her odds.

The Pat Smullen-ridden Aga Khan Siyouni grey, led over two furlongs out from Ceol Na Nog Elizabeth Browning soon threatened danger but in the end Dabulena added to her Curragh gains from nine days back to prevail by a length and a quarter.

Winning trainer Dermot Weld said: "She's a very tough, genuine filly. She's been a model of consistency and deserves a little break now.

"She will come back in the second part of the season at Stakes level, and that should be within her compass. She's adaptable ground wise."

The Stewards informed T.G.McCourt, trainer that Sally Gap, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
