Trainer Eddie Cawley gained an overdue win at Punchestown today when Day Dream Boy landed the Festival Hospitality From €99 Handicap Hurdle under jockey Rob Jones.

Jones was also on board Cawley's previous winner, Brian Who at Bellewstown last July, and the three pounds claimer timed his run well on the son of Luso, moving him past Sumkindasuprstar before the final flight before staying on well for a three and a half lengths win over Spiker The Biker

Afterwards Cawley stated “I was surprised he travelled so well on that ground – he's had a few chances and had his day today but hopefully we might sneak another one! He stays well and is bred to do so as the dam (Make My Day) was a good stayer.”
