Trainer Gavin Cromwell completed a double at Naas today when his well supported Ming Dynasty (3/1 — 9/4f) landed the Paddy Rewards Club Handicap Hurdle under jockey Ger Fox.

Cromwell's Livingstones Quest under jockey Brien Kane, was an earlier winner of the other handicap hurdle on the card and Ming Dynasty was the easy three and and three parts of a length winner over Mountain Fox

Cromwell was moving on the 30-winner mark for this season, his career-best tally, and later said “he was a good Flat horse at one time. It looked like he was going to win a couple of times (over hurdles). We gave him a wind operation recently and it’s obviously done the trick with him. A bit of good ground helps him.

“He was plenty keen enough going past the stands the first time. The plan was to ride him with a bit more cover and a bit colder. I thought he was going to be in a bit of trouble and he might not see it out.”
