Jockey Shane Foley completed a double in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap at Cork today, scoring on the Ken Condon trained Mont Blanc

Foley, who partnered Chrysanthemum to win the feature event, had to work hard on Mont Blanc, taking the lead inside the final furlong. The daughter of Singspiel stayed on well close home to hold Mamma Rosa

Afterwards Condon stated “the form of her maiden win has been working out well but she ran took keen at Roscommon - she got a fright at the first bend and the bit went through her mouth.

“It was too far for her in the Cesarewitch at the Curragh but at least she settled much better. I told Shane to drop her in today and to try and make sure she came home well and she really ground it out.

“She was entered in the Sales at Newmarket but may have another run now. She is quite lightly raced and didn't race as a two year old.”
