The 8/15 favourite Twinlight made all to take division one of the Allman Contracts Limited Beginners Chase to provide his rider Ruby Walsh and his trainer Willie Mullins with a double on the card (scored earlier with Drive Time .

The 5yo son of Muhtathir fell on his chasing debut at Thurles in November in the race won by Rubert but he got it right on the second time of asking this afternoon.

He wasn’t fluent over all his fences but he kept on well in the straight to come home eighteen lengths clear of Castle Wings who ran on to take second at 7/2 under Paddy Mangan for his father Jimmy.

Willie Mullins said afterwards: "He handled the ground well. I’m not sure jumping is his first love as he was a bit sketchy over some of them but he shows lots of speed at home and should win another novice chase. I don’t know how far up the ladder he will go over fences though."

Mullins went on to talk about the disappointing effort of Tarla in the previous contest saying: "She seems ok. Maybe she just got bogged down in the ground but it was a very disappointing performance. Maybe something will show up.

The win was the sixth of the week for Mullins and the fifth success for Ruby Walsh.
