Tomorrow's meeting at Down Royal is subject to an early morning inspection as parts of the course are currently unfit for racing due to frost.

Officials will check the northern venue at 8am as parts of the chase track are frozen and temperatures are to remain low until midnight.

There is some good news in the weather forecast with temperatures predicted to rise gradually thereafter with up to 10mm of rain overnight and into tomorrow.

The meetings cancelled at Navan and Thurles last weekend have been rescheduled for later this week.

The going at Thurles is currently described as soft, soft to heavy places, for an eight-race card on Wednesday which features a couple of Grade 2 events - the Coolmore NH Sires EBF Mares' Novice Chase and the Horse & Jockey Hotel Chase.

The bumper at Thurles has been divided to provide an extra race, with the action now beginning at 12.15pm.

The weather forecast is to become milder but more unsettled from tomorrow onwards with the potential for approximately 10mm of rain prior to racing.

The track at Navan is reported as soft to heavy ahead of the rescheduled meeting on Friday.
