Apprentice jockey Robbie Downey continues to impress and maintained his 100% record for trainer Jane Foley when winning on her Bomber Jackson in the Winter Series At Dundalk 2014 Apprentice Handicap (div 1) at Dundalk this evening.
Downey produced the son of Captain Marvelous with a late and well timed challenge for a narrow win over Well Insured and Foley later briefly mentioned “that was great! He's some kid to ride to instructions and that's only his second ride for me and his second winner!
The win was 17 year old Downey's tenth from his 48 rides in total, all this year.
