After running out an easy winner of the All Sports Betting Tubbercurry Hurdle, the Mark McNiff trained Seskinane was controversial disqualified as his rider Derek Fox was adjudged to have ridden dangerously.

Fox admitted to dangerous riding in the stewards room afterwards and automatic disqualification is the penalty for the offence.

He was also handed a ten day suspension and must forfeit his riding fee.

The incident happening turning for home as On His Own led with Seskinane behind and Twigline on the outside.

Seskinane then barged into Twigline in order to get a clear run and she stumbled badly as a result.

After the last Seskinane stayed on strongly to beat On His Own by eight and a half lengths with Twigline a further length and a quarter back in third.

However with Seskinane disqualified On His Own (Evens fav) was awarded the race for Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins while Twigline was placed in second under Paul Townend (11/8) also for Mullins.
