Top Gamble could be sent on a return trip to Ireland for a shot at the Coral Dublin Chase at Leopardstown on February 3.

The Grade Two is one of two races along with the Betfair Exchange Chase, better known as the Game Spirit, at Newbury on February 10 that are being considered for the 10-year-old by trainer Kerry Lee.

After proving no match for Un De Sceaux at Cork on his penultimate start, the dual Grade Two winner finished fourth back in handicap company at Cheltenham on New Year's Day.

Lee said: "They didn't have much rain at Ascot and we have already proven we can't beat Un De Sceaux on heavy ground, so we were not going to the Clarence House on soft or good to soft and trying to beat him.

"He is in the Grade Two Dublin Chase and if the ground comes right, I would be keen to give it a go as he doesn't have to carry a penalty there. I've never had a runner there and I have always wanted to have one.

"If he doesn't go there, he will wait for the Game Spirit. It is a race he has won before and he is a dual course winner at Newbury. We know he likes it and it plays to his strengths."
