Donal Kinsella's Ducky Mallon had to survive a stewards enquiry before being confirmed as the winner of the Idealgraphix.ie Handicap at Leopardstown for the second year running.

Sean Davis bounced out prominently on the 5/1 shot before tracking front-runner T For Tango in the six-furlong contest.

He was driven up to lead before the furlong marker but was headed by Flawlessly inside the final furlong, battling back gamely to get his head in front again close home for a neck success.

The stewards had a look with the winner wandering slightly inside the final furlong but the result was unchanged.

“We went in and then came out a bit but I thought he kept him fairly straight,” said Kinsella afterwards.

“We've run him four times in the last few weeks which seems an awful lot. I used to look after this horse and run him every four weeks.

“He's turned out very nicely and we're very happy the way he fought back today.

“Obviously six furlongs around here is a trip he likes. I know he's not young but maybe he'll be back next year.

“The young lad gave him a lovely ride. I asked him not to go for him quick but to start it up slowly and to be fair he did. He did a nice job.”
