Shane Duffy is hoping the victory of War Room can give owner Eugene Kavanagh a boost.

The winning owner is currently in hospital and missed the victory of the six-year-old as he registered back-to-back successes on the all-weather and his fourth win at the track.

Gary Phillips got a good tune out of his mount as he nabbed 4/1 favourite Hat Alnasar close home for a neck victory.

"This is a great winner. Mr Kavanagh is a little sick and is in hospital at the moment so hopefully this will be a good tonic for him. He's a great supporter of Irish racing, not just me," said Duffy.

"I also have to thank the young lad Kevin who does all the work with him at home. He wouldn't be half the horse without him.

"He's a hardy little bugger and loves Dundalk. Anywhere from a mile to a mile-and-a-half suits him and he has plenty of guts."
