Moonmeister provided Gordon Elliott with his seventh winner of the day (four at Perth and three at Bellewstown) as he ran out an easy winner of the Wintergrass Novice Hurdle under Luke Dempsey.

Successful on his debut over flights at Downpatrick last month the son of Mastercraftsman was sent off at 3/10 to follow-up this evening.

Sent straight to the front by Dempsey he went clear before the last and kept on well on the run-in to score easily by ten lengths. Jesmond Lodge finished second at 3/1 under Ryan Treacy for John Ryan.

Elliott said afterwards: "We thought he was our best chance of the day and fortunately it worked out. He might go to Galway for something.

"It has been a great day. I've always said I have the best staff in the country and good owners and good facilities."

Elliott's four Perth winners were The Absent Mare (9/4fav), Broughtons Bandit (7/2), Russian Regent (Evensfav) and Bank Bonus (7/4fav).

Richard Johnson rode the first three winners while Kevin Sexton was aboard Bank Bonus.
