A strong start to the season has left Gordon Elliott full of hope his good form can continue as the season-proper begins to edge into gear.

The Grand National-winning trainer has been in the winners at home and on his frequent raids to places like Perth, regularly hitting the mark in Scotland.

The County Meath handler said: "I've probably got my best bunch of horses and we're well ahead on winners so far this season. We have a few nice bumper horses from last season to go hurdling.

"I don't like naming any horses in particular, but Mala Beach is certainly one that I am looking forward to. He's schooled well over fences, but we'll have to wait for a bit of rain before we get going with him.

"Don Cossack will start off at Punchestown in a few weeks. He'll go for the Grade Three race (Star Best For Racing Coverage Chase) that we've won for the last three years with Roi Du Mee twice and last year with Toner d'Oudairies. But again, he could do with a bit of rain."
