The beautifully bred Goldrush made the perfect start to her career when running out an impressive winner of the mile maiden at Navan this afternoon.

Jim Bolger 's charge cost the China Horse Club 1.7million as a yearling and is a daughter of Frankel and the yard's top racemare Alexander Goldrun.

She was sent off a 6/1 for her debut today having missed two previous engagements this season in June and July.

Kevin Manning tracked the leaders before sending his mount to the front passing the two pole. She galloped on strongly inside the final furlong to post a three length winning margin over Wooster

“It’s always nice to win with a filly as well-bred as she is. She has been working well but we’ve had a few little hiccups along the way,” said Bolger.

“She was a bit weak last year so we didn’t run her, and a few times we had her ready to run this year and she had small little problems, nothing serious.

“She was declared to run a few times and she got rained off one day. She doesn’t want soft ground but she handled that well today so she might handle a little ease in it.

“Hopefully she will go on now and be a Stakes filly.”

4/6 favourite Frima challenged two furlongs out but faded tamely in the closing stages to finish seventh.
