The Fahey clan have been churning out winners left, right and centre recently and Seamus Fahey’s Scully’s Dream (20/1) today landed the concluding Summer Party Pack Discount INH Bumper at Kilbeggan today, completing a double on the day at the midlands track for the Monasterevin based brother-trainers.

The penultimate race was won by Seamus Fahey’s brother Peter Fahey with easy winner Black Zambezi but the finale was a much closer contest, as Scully’s Dream passed the post a head in front, under jockey John O’Neill, but had to endure a stewards’ enquiry before confirming his win.

The win moved Seamus Fahey past his brothers Jarlath and Paul Fahey and nephew Mark Fahey with a second winner this month but he trails another brother, Peter Fahey, who has had six winners in June.

Following Scully’s Dream’s win, Seamus Fahey said “he won his point-to-point at Stradbally but we were very disappointed with him at Listowel. Nothing came to light after that run, and we were planning to give him a break after this but I'm not sure what we will do now."

The 11 Fahey trained winners for June have been achieved at Cork, Down Royal, Fontwell, Gowran, Kilbeggan, Navan, Roscommon and Wexford racecourses.
