He won by six lengths over two miles in Dundalk last-time out and tonight Asian Wing bagged a mile and a half apprentice handicap on the polytrack by three and a half lengths.

Robbie Downey made his move approaching the home straight as he guided Asian Wing into fifth on the outer.

Once he gave him the office at the two pole the son of Hawk Wing went about his business and soon reached the head of affairs.

A furlong out the favourite put the race to bed as he thundered home at odds of 10/11 (from 7/4 in the morning).

The places were filled by Raydari (11/2) and Flowing Air (6/1) in second and third respectively. There was plenty of money around for Flowing Air during the day as she was backed down from 12/1.

"He won well. The owner spotted the race. We were thinking about going to Clonmel and could still go there if he remains in the bracket for that race," said John Feane.

"We said we'd chance him over a mile-and-a-half. I think he's better over two miles. He won nicely and it's great for the lads."

Feane's double was initiated by Six Silver Lane in the preceding race.
