A sensational day for the Donegal Orr brothers got even better with Oisin's success on Alfredo Arcano (7/1) in the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Handicap.

This win, following on from his success earlier on Richard O'Brien's Thebeastfortheeast brought up a 21/1 polytrack double for last year's champion apprentice.

His older brother Conor made Limerick his own earlier in the day with a 2,991/1 treble.

After David Marnane's Alfredo Arcano beat Smart Stinger by a length and three parts the County Tipperary trainer said: "He had a good first run. He's a little bit short of work and I didn't know if he was tuned up for it.

“He's done that well. We'll see how he gets on here in a couple of weeks and we'll think about Dubai maybe if he was to get a high enough mark.

“He could be a horse for the dirt over there depending on how he gets on in a couple of weeks.

“His style of running would suit the dirt, I think. I had pencilled him to ask Dubai if they'd keep an eye on him, because I know he's only 85 and 90 is the minimum but he's going to be close to that or over it now.

“I just think his style of running would suit Dubai for the dirt.”
