Fort Worth Texas got revenge on Dime A Dozen as she took the p2p.ie The Irish Point To Point Website Mares Point-To-Point Flat Race.
Dime A Dozen beat Fort Worth Texas when they clashed in the Gain Mares Final at Ballynoe in March, but the Colin Bowe trained latter managed to reverse the form on the racecourse proper.
Successful four times from six point-to-point starts since December, the winning daughter of Gold Well was sent off at 4/1 this evening with Rob James aboard.
Settled towards rear, the Leo McArdle owned bay made good progress on the outer down the back straight and hit the front three furlongs from home.
She was ridden and kept up the gallop in the home straight, going on to prevail by a length and three parts.
Dime A Dozen (7/1) kept on well to take second under Tom Hamilton for John 'Shark' Hanlon, while the Gavin Cromwell trained Tokyo Getaway who was sent off the 9/4 favourite, was another five lengths back in third.
Bowe said afterwards: "She acts better on heavier ground and I thought it might be a bit lively for her but she stays very well.
"She was a maiden at the start of the season and is now after winning four point-to-points and this and is a grand little thing.
"She will have a break now and will come back hurdling on winter ground. Leo (owner Leo McArdle) normally moves them to Willie (Mullins) but I think he's leaving this one to me."
STEWARDS REPORTS
The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. Avena O'Keeffe, that Mr C. Cullinan, rider of Bitofalright had failed to weigh in having finished sixth. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was unaware that he was required to weigh in having finished sixth. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards disqualified Bitofalright in accordance with the provisions of Rule 230 (ii). The Stewards also found Mr C. Cullinan to be in breach of Rule 227 (i) and cautioned him having taken his previous record into consideration. Furthermore they also reminded him to familiarise himself with the rules relevant to weighing in procedures.
