Do Try Dolly attempts to complete a Kilbeggan hat-trick in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle, the feature event on Friday's seven-race card.

Paul Fahey's charge built on a facile maiden hurdle success with a gutsy handicap victory over this extended two miles and three furlongs in June and won't be short on fitness after a good second on the Flat last month.

Should a 7lb rise prove too much for the small mare, Pacelli Road could pounce for a quickfire course double after impressing over two miles a fortnight ago.

Tulsa Jack scored on that same card and bids to follow up in the Kilbeggan Patrons Club Handicap Chase.

Noel Meade's six-year-old finished with a wet sail to prevail in an exciting finish over this trip and could be given something to aim at by Illtakeitfromhere.

The Paul Nolan-trained gelding is a previous course winner and has shaped as though a step back up in trip would suit in some good efforts this summer.

Meade also has strong claims in the Midland Breeders Supporting Kilbeggan Beginners Chase courtesy of Zigger Zagger, a good second on his sole outing over fences in March.

He blew away the cobwebs over timber last week and takes on dual-purpose veteran Steps To Freedom, who returned to the larger obstacles when third at Galway.

The Kilbeggan Opportunity Maiden Hurdle gets things under way at 4.35 and could see the improving Sam King go one better than his silver medal at Tramore.

Willie Mullins saves his one runner on the card until the closing Athlone (Pro/Am) Flat Race and his Tt's Star is sure to be a warm order on the back of finishing runner-up at Tramore.

However, Gordon Elliott's John Monash went close at Ballinrobe and poses a big threat.

Elliott saddles The Absent Mare in the Like Kilbeggan Races On Facebook Handicap Hurdle, while Shantalla has good form claims as he returns from a lay-off in the Pat Doyle Memorial Handicap Hurdle.
