Frisco Depot went on in the closing stages to run out a convincing winner of the Hugh McMahon Memorial Novice Chase at Limerick.

Bryan Cooper delivered his mount to challenge at the second last in the Grade Two event and he got to the lead before the last from Your Busy

The King's Theatre gelding, running in the colours of trainer Dessie Hughes, asserted on the run to the line to post a three-and-a-half length success at 15/8.

13/8 favourite Crash (from 9/4) took closer order three from home, after racing in rear, but was soon under pressure and could only finish fourth.

"He had a good run last time (second to Flemenstar) and prefers that better ground," said Hughes of the winner.

"Bryan keeps his mounts very collected and I'm lucky to have him. He could go to Punchestown for a novice handicap next."
